In order to assist you with your accounting and tax matters, and, in some cases, to comply with professional guidelines, we retain records relating to the professional services we provide to you. We have rigorous physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in place to protect these records and they are accessed internally only on an “as-needed” basis. We periodically dispose of records through a certified destruction process or through shredding based upon our record retention polices. The non-public personal information we collect includes but is not limited to information about the source and amount of income and expenses, assets and liabilities and personal data such as social security numbers and dates of birth. We also obtain personal data through interviews and telephone calls with you or letters and emails from you.
Mike Bramble may use Personal Information and aggregated and/or anonymous user information in the following ways:
- For the purposes for which you specifically provided the Personal Information, i.e., to send you information about our Company and/or provide requested services
- To communicate with you throughout the year
In addition, Mike Bramble may share your Personal Information and aggregated and/or anonymous user information as follows:
- As required by law, in conjunction with a government inquiry or in litigation or dispute resolution.
Furthermore, in the case of any significant transaction or event involving Mike Bramble or any of its related entities or divisions such as, by way of example only, a sale, merger, amalgamation, financing, re-organization, liquidation, or insolvency, other parties to the transaction and their professional advisors may need to have access to client lists and various databases which include Personal Information as part of the due diligence process. In this event, Mike Bramble will only provide such access under terms of a strict Confidentiality Agreement. Upon completion of the transaction or event, your Personal Information may be transferred to Mike Bramble’s successor-in-interest to be used solely for the purposes for which it was collected.
To prevent unauthorized access and to maintain data accuracy, Mike Bramble uses reasonable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information it collects. Mike Bramble recognizes the importance of safeguarding Personal Information in Mike Bramble’s possession from theft, inappropriate use or improper distribution. It should, however, be recognized that no company can perfectly protect Personal Information.
